We need your help to save lives.

Fosters Save Lives

Our biggest need is long term (2-3 months) fosters for dogs that will be adopted locally. You are responsible for getting them adoption ready and then bringing them to adoption events or meet and greets with potential adopters.

We do occasionally need fosters for transport dogs. The commitment is typically 2-4 weeks. You do not have to do adoption events. You give the pup a place to crash while he/she is getting ready for transport. You will need to take them to one vet appointment for a health certificate before travel.

We provide the supplies and you provide the love.

Heartworm Disease

Here at Berg Foster Life we take dogs regardless of heartworm status. Because of this, we end up with a large number of heartworm positive dogs. Each dog costs the rescue on average of $200 to treat.
